finished the top

Hi Friends!
We are having sunshine today, so I feel like doing stuff!

I finished the top of the Open House quilt for Project Linus.  Thought you might like to see it. It's still pretty small  32x38.

This close up shows that I forgot to piece the centers of the last few flowers I made - to make the quilt the right shape - so I sewed yo-yos over the centers... I figure a little extra texture on a baby quilt is good.

Some of the flowers have green "leaves" and some don't.  Also, here you can see the pieced border I made to make the quilt larger.  Now the backing, batting, basting and quilting.  Got any ideas on how I could quilt this?  I haven't a clue, and I only have my regular sewing machine, so I usually only quilt straight lines.

Well, that's it for today.

Love to you all!
Terri

  1. Hi Terri. Your quilt looks like spring! Like fun. Lovely soft pastels.
A quilting option would be loop de loops with a few little butterflies here and there between some of the loops.

  2. Pretty Terri! I agree with Sheila. It DOES remind me of Spring.

If you;re only going straight lines (a girl after my own heart because I cant free motion quilt - I will learn one day ) I'd go wavy lines .
