H2H being quilted

I'm having a devil of a time getting this one done. The thread keeps breaking. I've rethreaded, changed the needles twice, next I'm checking the bobbin for near emptiness, and last I'll change spools.
Here's the quilt on the machine.

I'm quilting a zig zag pattern in the rows that parallels the row before. I like the look, but all that pivoting might be the stress on the thread.

Linking up with the H2H site.  Go on over there and look at the other charity entries. It's my favorite charity.

P.S. Happy Mom's Day!

Hugs,
Terri

  2. I'm sorry it's giving you some trouble. But I think the look will be worth it!

  3. Sorry about the quilting problems. My favorite machine for quilting (my blue treadle) has somehow messed up the tension, and I can't seem to get it fixed. One of these days, I'll finally get it fixed again, so I can treadle quilt nicely. I have a few tops, waiting in the wings.

  4. How frustrating! I hope you get your tension issues fixed soon. I had a rash of thread breakage today on my machine, too. I finally figured out that when I wound the bobbin there was a thread end sort of wedged across the lip of the bobbin and I think it was catching something inside the machine. I'm not explaining it very well, but take a really close look at your bobbin to see if something is funky about it.

Your H2H quilt is lovely, and all that zig zag quilting is going to look wonderful when it's finished!

  5. Happy Mother's Day! Beautiful quilt.Sorry about the breaking thread. When I had breaking threads in the past, it was the thread. When I changed the thread, everything was fine. Good luck, dear.
