Lots of Little Miracles

Here's a story of one of the smallest  miracles.

So I'm working on a Harry Potter pattern, the Extendible Ear.  This is the last piece to make, and I've run out of the brown I was using for the shadow... (I should have known better.)  I have all but five pieces  done.

Five more pieces from this little bit?

Not going to happen. I need to find some more.

I looked amongst the stash- nothing.  I checked with the scraps that are separated by color - nothing. I dug out the potholders I was making for house warming gifts to my family - nothing.  I checked the big bin of snippets, the whole thing - nothing.  I still had two places to check.  The stand up bin next to the cutting table- way at the bottom...

These little pieces should get me through.

I should be able to finish tomorrow.  I'll run it bye you when I do.

Hugs,
Terri

  1. Lucky you, there is always use for the tiny bits of fabric! - Your Harry Potter blocks have inspired me and I have finished four easy ones, after some struggle with fabrics placed the wrong way and not covering what they should have done!

  3. I've not seen that pattern before. I tend to keep all the fabric for a project together until long after the project is finished. All the tiny leftover pieces (and huge chunks) are together, of course, the fabrics don't get to play in any other projects during that time.
