See the one in the upper left of the picture? It should be yellow with lighter yellow dots. Where does the camera get the idea that it's orange with yellow dots? (The pink didn't show up very well, so I made a close up of it. See below.)
The lilac colored one has white from the backing of my granddaughter, Ashleigh's wedding quilt backing. I think about her every time I use some of those scraps.
Anyway, I used up all the patterns I printed out, so now I'm making some paper pieced things for my Halloween diorama. I printed out the patterns for a Mimbulus Mimbletonia, a Mandrake, and a Hogwarts Shield. We'll see how they work out. I'll frame them.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Here with the Hubby working again a few hours everyday, we will have a regular weekend again. When you are retired every day runs about the same. (I think we are doing yard work tomorrow... oh yay....
Hugs,
Terri
Beautiful butterflies!!! I love the colorful variety.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of Harry Potter, I'm listening to book 4 now. Great butterflies. Have fun stitching. I really need to get back to my Harry Potter quilts, but, I have too many projects going right now. You can do my yard work ;)
ReplyDeleteLovely butteflies--i guess autumn has flown in with them. Rainy and cool here--such a relief from that humidity...have a great weekend..hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteAfter having tried some detailed paper piecing I admire your butterflies even more than I did before! The fancy colours are perfect for the pattern.
ReplyDeletecameras! There they go, thinking for themselves. I don't want smart appliances, I want stupid ones with no ideas of their own LeeAnna
ReplyDeleteSometimes is SEW difficult to get the camera and lightly to play nicely enough to get the shot we see through the lense. (And DS2 asks why I take SO many pictures!)
ReplyDeleteCharming butterflies! Thanks for linking them with Kaleidoscope of Butterflies. Enjoy your yard work.

ReplyDeleteGreat piecing, thanks for sharing your butterflies!
ReplyDeleteLove your butterflies, so pretty. When you redo the photos with better lighting it should turn out right. However, it looks very nice as is. Where do you live in WI? I am in Monona, right by Madison. I'm trying to find a quilt blogger somewhere around here. I'm the only one that I know of.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful butterflies!
