Quilts according to Jimmy Fallon

Today as I read the Reader's Digest I came to a small article about the Thank You notes the Jimmy Fallon "writes" on his show.  One of them was "Thank you, quilts, for being blankets made of other tiny blankets."  Have I been doing it wrong?  Lol

I won some beautiful blues

It came in the mail yesterday.  I won a bundle of 10 fat quarters in the Delphinium color way from the last H2H giveaway!  Thanks Sarah.

I can see some butterflies out of these.

What I'm working on

H2H for the Happy Chemo charity...

2.5" squares made into four patches added to a 4.5" white on white square... easy peasy!
I saw one like it somewhere, just can't remember where.
It'll look better after the next round of sewing.

Happy Hump Day

Terri

H2H is starting up again!

A new excitement in my life... H2H, (Hands to Help) a very worthy charity (in my opinion) is starting for 2018.  I have a 4 patch quilt in mind and will make one for the Little Lambs - since that is my maiden name. (Yup, in the good old days I was Terri Lamb.)

I've been a part of this (H2H) charity since 2012 , when I made this quilt

Here are some of the other quilts I've made for various charities associated with H2H.

Green for March

I've been wanting to try half square triangles... I found a pinwheel pattern I like and I think it'd be a great project to do for Rainbow Scrap Challenge, BUT I had all kinds of trouble making my first two.

I figure the trouble with my points comes from the trimming.  More practice is necessary.

Linking up with the Rainbow Scrap Challenge tomorrow.

Have a great weekend.

My Favorite Quilt Fabric Store

On our move from Washington state to Wisconsin we drove Interstate 80 passing through Wyoming. (It's a beautiful state in July.)  We stopped in Green River for a lunch and then a little fabric therapy at Keama's Quilts. She has an amazing assortment of fabrics and other quilting goodies.  Here is what I bought.

Recently, she emailed me about a quick sale they had, and now she is showing a tutorial on You Tube. This one is on cutting for a backing. I thought you might enjoy it.
