Swan Troubles

After all these years of paper piecing, I still make some of the most stupid mistakes.  See that blue
piece between the whites on the bottom of the picture?  It's supposed to be white.  Luckily I only had to rip out 2 seams. See the next picture.

Now isn't that better?  LOL

Hope you are warm and dry - where ever you are.

Hugs,
Terri

  1. Sometimes I just want to rip out my hair when I am doing paper-piecing! Then I calm myself down by thinking of how cool a paper-pieced quilt looks! I just finished a Farmer's Wife block and it was a doozy. I kept having to rip pieces off and sew them in again. Arghhh! It came out beautifully though, although there's a bald patch on the side of my head!

  2. Happens to me all the time! I think I have ripped more seams in my paper pieced blocks than there are seams in total.

  3. Sorry my PP mistakes are rubbing off on you.

  4. Well spotted Terri. I only tend to spot things like that when I've completed a block.

  5. I have never been a sewer but I know as a knitter I used to hate having to re-do something.
