The Triwizard Tournament Trophy

You know - the portkey....

I got an insulting comment again today. I deleted it right away. It said I should throw all my HP blocks in the trash where they belong.  Really?  Did the anonymous commenter think that by making that comment I would, like a zombie, just go and do as I was told?  LOL!!!!  (I'm an old lady. I've got 7+ grandkids, who BTW all love HP. Well, we don't know about + yet.... but it's a good bet that + will love HP, too.)  So listen up AC, if you don't like my stuff, don't tune in.  There's lots more HP paper piecing to come.  There are hundreds of HP patterns... and because I love the books and the movies, and the wonderful lessons taught by them, I will be making more blocks. You obviously don't know the books, or you would appreciate their popularity.  If you haven't read them, do. (Keep an open mind, for once.) You will learn something about friendship, and courage... you would then be able to at least sign your name to your beliefs.
To all my Blogger friends, I want you to know how much I appreciate all your happy and encouraging comments. Thank you for stopping by. You don't know how excited we both get to see there's a new comment. Thanks for your time and thoughts.
Hugs,
Terri

  1. WHAT!?!?!?! I can't believe someone would say something so rude! I, personally, think your HP blocks are marvolous!! Way to go and keep at it! Long live Harry Potter Quilting! :)

  2. Another difficult block. You are so talented at paper piecing! You go, Grandma.
I don't understand why this person is saying these terrible things to you.

  3. I'm sorry someone is being so rude and thoughtless towards you Terri. It has been my experience that generally those who find it pleasurable to try and upset the apple cart for others are unhappy within themselves. Deleting those comments is the way to go.

I enjoy seeing your HP blocks (and love the books myself) Your quilting and blog are for you and not some half baked twit with no taste and an inability to appreciate the effort that goes into your work.

  5. am so sorry to hear that and i pity the person who did that to you because i can sense that he/she is an unhappy person because of the negativity he/she shows thru the comments... but don't mind that person let's just pray for him/her that's what he need and maybe no one understands him/her... so admire you because even though that happened to you, you still are very positive about everything... God bless!!! kisses!!!

  8. My mother taught me the old adage, "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all" I love the HP blocks. I wish I knew how to paper piece so that I could make some myself. I've shown several of your blocks to my youngest son (18) and he likes them too. My family are HUGE HP fans! Keep up the great progress and ignore the rude people.

    1. Hi Cheryl - to learn to pp got to Fandom In Stitches (see it in the sidebar?) She has directions. Jennifer is one of the designers, and she has directions on "how to" on her blog... and the HP patterns as well as lots of other fun patterns. They are free to use for personal and charity quilts, but not for sale quilts.
