So in the mean time we went for a little tour around town, only on the back roads. I hate the crowds and built up areas of cities. So we went out to the fields - saw some nurseries - ponds and little rivers full from the past rains. It was quite rejuvenating. Then we ran across what I thought was ugly fruit. Lots of the fruit having fallen from the trees along the side of the road. We stopped to pick some just to see what it was, and maybe reproduce a few trees to offer for Halloween next.
It's about the size of a grapefruit. I went to the computer to make sure it was an ugly fruit, but it isn't. This one looks like a green pineapple with seeds inside. So I kept looking and found out that it is an Osage Orange... Not Edible! It has some super traits to the wood, and it's only mildly toxic, but not something you'd want to eat. I do love the quilting pattern on the peeling, don't you? It is quite random, so unlike nature to be so random. I did cut up the smaller one, and saved some seeds to plant. Something different.
So no quilting done, just relaxed like crazy and read some blogs. My blood sugar went way down after the tequila. I'm almost normal this morning.
Thank you for all your prayers and words of encouragement. I love you guys!
Hugs,
Terri
