Still in process: The first Red Admiral Butterfly

I say first because I think I'll make a bunch of these.

It's one of the 12 patterns I bought a few days ago. There are some spots to embroider on the wing tips yet, and the antennae, of course. In my butterfly ID book there are small black dots on the bottom orange sections that I think I'll add with a pen, and then he's done.

If you want to make some paper pieced butterflies go to Claudia's Quilts and have a look see. I love her other patterns, too.

Hugs,
Terri

  6. It's amazing. I'll look forward to seeing more butterflies. I second Cheryl's comment: you have to have Monarch Butterflies. I grew up in Carmel, CA. Pacific Grove was close by and it had butterfly trees. The Monarchs flocked there every year and it was a sight to see!
