I
I made a Papa Book, Mama Book and Baby book... Dad has the oldest pages, then Mom and baby has the cute cover and lightest pages. The little guy is a chip off the old man... his pages bend into the middle, whereas Mom's do not. Close up (below) so you can see the aged pages.
Hope you are having a grand weekend.
Hugs,
Terri
Oh love your choice for the aged pages--very nice...hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteWhat a great block.
ReplyDeleteNow your finished quilt will be unique. I like them turned the other way. It works either way. Cute papa, mama, baby reference, too.
ReplyDeleteI've been looking forward to the book block. Here's a hint: if you make a "creative version" of some detail in a block, don't tell anyone--especially on your blog!" Here's another hint: Never hand a person the pattern of the quilt, even if they beg!, so that they can compare it to your quilt! I know how it is, for you especially!, people are always bothering you and pleading with you to look at the pattern "just to see what it's like." Trust me, they have ulterior motives...they just want to take the hours necessary to compare your quilt to the pattern. Don't give them the satisfaction. PS..love your snitch!
ReplyDeleteLove your block! This whole quilt is going to look just great!
ReplyDeletevisiting from whoop whoop friday linky...very unique! I don't think I could get quite that specific... but I might try. I need an idea for a quilt for my brother and one of the memories I have of him is...his stack of books that he'd bring home from the library. I thought that was so cool and coldn't wait till I could bring home that many! Now.. I go buy the discarded ones at the library and ...have my own stack! But your block might be something I can use to create his quilt. thanks for the idea
ReplyDeletePretty cool fix, Terri. I wouldn't have known of a problem if you hadn't told us. They sure look like books. Thanks for linking to WIPs Be Gone so I could come on over and see your eye candy.
