Working on Little Houses Just for Fun

You know I'm compelled to paper piece....
This week I'm working on these again.

For the Rainbow Scrap Challenge orange and yellow roofs

Those on the right are made a couple of years ago and sewn together. For the building part I'm using some fabric I used to make tops for two of my grandgirls... 17 or 18 years ago.  It's a pattern from a blog, and I always have trouble getting them to the correct size unless I'm paper piecing. So I made this simple pattern into a paper piecing pattern, and they turn out just right each time.
Now to link up to the RSC here.

Hope you are having a dry and safe weekend. My Grandson #1 lives in Jacksonville FL... he decided to stay.

Hugs,
Terri

  5. I hope that your Grandson fared well in the wake of Hurricane Matthew. Looks like you are having TONS of fun with your little Beach Huts! I'm glad that you found a way to make them work for you. (Paper-piecing would NOT be my first choice, I can assure you!)

  7. Love those colorful houses! Clever idea to use the RSC16 colors for the roofs and keep it simple with the building fabric (hardly simple). Hope you never run out of that fabric.
