Paper Piecing Again

Working on a table topper for a fellow Harry Potter fan. It'll be 5 Mimbulus Mimbletonias.

The red flowers with the green - it's going to look quite Christmassy.

Thank you to all the Veterans for their service... This is a holiday we should be celebrating every day.

Have a lovely sewing weekend.

Some Halloween Pictures and some quilt blocks

The candy is in the back (left) of this picture in a large plant pot.

Kids took a plant if they wanted one. We had lots of different ones this year, but the most popular were the Pearl Plants made up by my friend, Paulette White.

I had my new Hedwig (owl) from my sister, Barbara Zeidl hanging up and the Spell Book that howls and laughs and vibrates on the table where the kids could touch  it. More plants and some free seeds on the table, too.

Lots of lighting this year, and webbing done by the Hubster = Harry Potter.

Some pictures that turn into ghouls as you walk by (from the $1 store)...

and a tiny Hogwarts banner that I paper pieced.

Here's the banner, a pumpkin and the mandrake I finished today... you can't see his beady little black eyes.  He was fun to make.

So that's it for Halloween this year. Now to start some more plants for next year.
Hope you all had as much fun as I did.

Terri

This year's crop of little plants for Halloween

This is my dining room table until tomorrow night.  We gathered them there from around the house.  These plants will be going to Trick or Treaters. In the front right a couple of Begonias...

3 African Violets and some evergreen bush from my yard

Hen & Chicks and Hoyas

An Avocado tree started from a pit

A whole bunch of Pearl Plants from my friend Paulette - Thanks Paulette!

Some Christmas Cactus, Wandering Jew, and a couple plants I can't identify.  There are also little blue Orchids.... didn't get into the pictures.

So we are almost ready... Making seed packets tonight. I've got some rhubarb seeds this year! Come on over, follow the spiders to our garage and pick out a plant. Don't forget the candy!

Happy Halloween

Found Some

I started one of the little houses without enough of that particular blue print for sky...

That piece on the right will do one side of the piece, but not the other... I had to look through all my snippets (tiny scraps). I'm lucky - I found some....

Probably enough for the sky on six more blocks!

Good way to start the weekend. Hope yours starts out this well.

Scrap Project

I was working on little houses and I ran out of background. I looked first in the light blue fabric box, but none like it.  Then I got the "brilliant" idea to check out my scraps... page down please....

This is two more unsorted grocery shopping bags full of snippets and scraps - page down please

This is what I am doing with my snippets. This represents the previous 3 shopping bags already sorted. There is a drawer for cool fabrics and one for warm colors, a small drawer for white, black, grey and browns and a small drawer for blocks already made that I'll save for a scrap quilt like the last one. Oh and here's a box of more snippets to sort - see below.

Hopefully out of the box and two bags left to sort I'll find enough of the print I already started to use on one of the houses... If not, I may just use some other blue... or I'll have to rip - NOOOOOOOOOO!
So at the present that is my Scrap Project.

Grandson is okay in FL... He let me know via Facebook.)

Have a lovely Sunday.
