And this is ....

A design wall at rest...

So the D4P is a flimsy at last! (ARB, that means the top is done.) Shopping for the backing tomorrow. Hubby doesn't like the fabric that I chose for the backing. . . and I have to admit that it's too dark to go with the white of the flimsy. I have experience with backings showing through white bunnies, and I had to remake the quilt. We'll be looking for a light color. Anybody have any quilting ideas? I only have a walking foot, so straight lines.  Think I'll go make the label. I have a paper pieced idea.
Have a wonderful quilty weekend.

  1. Well done Terri. I too am in the ditch with quilting. It is still my least fav part of the process. Good luck finding the right backing for it. Maybe a white tonal?

  2. It's beautiful!. I agree with a light backing. Good luck : )

  3. I think a lighter backing would be good. I'm a newbie quilter and straight line quilting is the only thing I'm comfortable. Visiting (and new subscriber) from Finish It Up Friday.

  4. Woohoo! This quilt should be ready in time. How about quilting diagonal.

  5. Congrats on your flimsy finish too!!! LOL!! The backing you got is perfect and will be looking forward to your quilting.

  6. Oh my gosh!! Does your design wall get a rest often?? i LOVE that flimsy!! Beautiful!

  7. Terry I got a real kick out of reading your profile. I especially agree housework is for special occasions. Good luck with the quilting. One of these days you need to branch out and try a basic stipple. It really is easy if your machine is set up correctly. I have an early quilt that I did diagonals and most of the thread has popped. One of these days I may throw it on the long arm and rebuilt with a different pattern. Then I guess I would go through and remove the diagonal lines. I don't want to rebind it though!

  8. looks awesome!!!!! I am so excited to see you guys, the quilt is beautiful I already love it! Corry thinks it's awesome too :)
It will look fabulous in my living room as a cuddle quilt! We don't have a couch yet, but we will soon and when we do, that quilt is going to be out all the time :) Still have the purple and green one you made for me when I was in middle school (maybe even elementary school? I can't remember!) Love you guys! See you probably thursday.

  9. I've seen this design wall in your other posts and wondered how you made it:)

Thanks for leaving a comment. I love the feedback, and getting to know you.
