And this is ....

A design wall at rest...

So the D4P is a flimsy at last! (ARB, that means the top is done.) Shopping for the backing tomorrow. Hubby doesn't like the fabric that I chose for the backing. . . and I have to admit that it's too dark to go with the white of the flimsy. I have experience with backings showing through white bunnies, and I had to remake the quilt. We'll be looking for a light color. Anybody have any quilting ideas? I only have a walking foot, so straight lines.  Think I'll go make the label. I have a paper pieced idea.
Have a wonderful quilty weekend.
Hugs,
Terri

  1. Well done Terri. I too am in the ditch with quilting. It is still my least fav part of the process. Good luck finding the right backing for it. Maybe a white tonal?

  3. I think a lighter backing would be good. I'm a newbie quilter and straight line quilting is the only thing I'm comfortable. Visiting (and new subscriber) from Finish It Up Friday.

  7. Terry I got a real kick out of reading your profile. I especially agree housework is for special occasions. Good luck with the quilting. One of these days you need to branch out and try a basic stipple. It really is easy if your machine is set up correctly. I have an early quilt that I did diagonals and most of the thread has popped. One of these days I may throw it on the long arm and rebuilt with a different pattern. Then I guess I would go through and remove the diagonal lines. I don't want to rebind it though!

It will look fabulous in my living room as a cuddle quilt! We don't have a couch yet, but we will soon and when we do, that quilt is going to be out all the time :) Still have the purple and green one you made for me when I was in middle school (maybe even elementary school? I can't remember!) Love you guys! See you probably thursday.
