Oh neat quilting--I haven't begun as yet--we are dog sitting for a rambunctious 1 1/2 yr old dog....cute though. Hope to rest my back after her walking me this morning (LOL) -- hugs have fun quilting Julierose
Looks like you are doing great with that quilting. I think it's hard to quilt on your home machine. I never did do a lot of it. I found an older longarm at an estate sale that was affordable, so learned how to use it. It has its drawbacks and limitations too, but I love having the table and rollerbars to use for quilting.
I love quilts...have a few antique ones and many others. I love the intrique stitching and the story they tell....beautiful one you are working on...great happy colours.
Hey! Congratulations! Remember, the journey of a thousands miles begins with a single step. Or to translate, the journey of machine quilting begins with a single stitch!
I saw 3 different 401's this weekend, sitting side by side. I thought of you when I saw them. Cute butterfly. You can always add some hand quilting to the machine quilting, and do more butterflies by hand.
Great work Terri! It is all a progression! Sorry to be a bit late here- yesterday was a curtain making day so I was "head down tails up" in the craft room. Bliss! Going to make a dress today- it is Blitz That List time as the weather is bad for a few days. I've been distracted by garden work- 39 lavenders in, a wheelie bin of dead wood and prunings, more trellis painted, and 8 bags of horse poo distributed! :-) I'm still a wuss about free motion quilting though, so go be brave for the both of us. Hugs!
Your butterfly is so pretty Terri. So much more effective when you have one or two than a whole bunch. Kind of like quilting I Spy!
ReplyDeleteI agree...I sure do love the summery color combination of this quilt too!
