Past Blocks

I almost forgot about these paper pieced blocks. I gave them away...
I don't always finish what I start.  It's okay, I'm sure I'm not the only one.
Have a great day.

Back History - Forgotten Memories

Maybe you noticed I'm using a larger font size... so I can see it. LOL

I picked out some photos for the blog today, some I remembered, and some took time to figure out. There are tiles and paint chips - choices for my kitchen remodel years ago... and a couple of Harry Potter blocks - a Butterbeer and the Deathly Hallows symbol.

th

I like the HP blocks best.

I'll be packing some more now.

Back Again - If the Computer Allows Me 2 B

I've had a frustrating time with the buggery thing (computer) for a while now, and today things seemed to turn around. Wish me luck.

For your consideration today one of my old Harry Potter blocks - the Pensive....appropriate for bringing back memories.  I haven't done much quilting in the past few years. I'm a diva, you see. I had all that trouble with the blog and the computer, so I sulked.  (There were other problems to cause some depressed feeling, too. Don't want to dwell on all that anymore)

You aren't likely to see much quilting here for a while either... we have sold our house in Superior WI and (Ha,Ha) are moving back to CA soon. (We just can't make up our minds, I guess.) Lots of packing and downsizing to do yet.

So I hope to get into the swing of things and show off something interesting soon.

I'm back!

I have been lost.  I was depressed about a lot of things, then the blog went down and I couldn't get in....  Now I have a new laptop and a cell phone and here I am.  Everything is new here.    Bear with me while I learn it all over again.

I've been working on this:

It is paper pieced, meant to be for my great granddaughter, Olivia, who already turned 1 year old. I like the quilt for her, but it could be another year before its finished. We may be moving to CA again this year - so lots of other work to do.

So glad to be back amongst the quilting bloggers again.

Christmas Gift Opened - Love it!

It came in the mail, so I opened it...

From my sister, Barbara, (She always gives me Harry Potter things.) a Hogwarts pop up book!!!! I love it, Barb. Thank you so much.

These are only 3 of the pages, made to open out all at one time.  There are two other pages that I will show at another time.

,
The plant is now dubbed the "Whomping Willow".  It's actually a pomegranate that has lived there since we moved here because sunshine shows up there on occasion.
I'm still discovering new things about this gift.  You may be seeing more on this subject.  Tune in next time.

Hugs,
Terri

Blizzard Pictures

We've been entertaining a blizzard named Ezekiel. He dumped a bunch of snow and is still snowing.  Winds were 35-50 mph, but have now subsided. Neighbors are out shoveling and the neighbor boy is shoveling for us!  (We are in our 70s and not so healthy.)

Here are some pictures from the house.

Our back porch stairs...

The ironwork on the back porch - there isn't a square inch that the wind didn't deliver some snow.

From the family room window through the blinds. (The @!#$%& blinds you can't move within the panes of glass.) Snow on everything.

Another window view.

I guess we got the 12-18 they were predicting.  We stayed in. Luckily we didn't lose any power.

The kicker = winter hasn't officially started yet.

Hugs to you all.

Here's my turkey, JR....

My turkey, not as fun as Julie Rose's

It's paper pieced and part of a "Backyard Birds" quilt I made for my son's birthday in 2009 (I think).  The pattern was from the book "365 Paper Piecing Patterns".  See.... not cute or funny. I like yours better, JR.

Hug,
Terri
