Snow on May 8th

It really isn't anything new here, but I took pictures to remember the event.  (Shout out to my Sis, who now lives in Florida... We got some and you didn't!)

You can't see it coming down like crazy - camera can't capture the big flakes in the driving wind, maybe you can see it against the tree trunk. It's starting to stick on roofs and grass. I heard snow thunder 3 time so far.

And now some other kind of insanity... I got it to a flimsy and ironed it!  Sharing it belatedly on

Happy Spring - LOL

Progress on H2H Qilt

X

I can't show the most recent pictures.  Microsoft updated my computer this week and now pictures won't download the same way.  Exasperating!  Not much \has changed in layout. I've done some sewing together of the blocks... some progress.
Showing this on Confessions of a Fabric Addict today.  See you there.

Hugs,
Terri

Scary Stuff?

Here is an email I recently received.

You’ve received this email because you have content in Google+ for your personal (consumer) account or a Google+ page you manage.
This is a reminder that on April 2, 2019 we’re shutting down consumer Google+ and will begin deleting content from consumer Google+ accounts. Photos and videos from Google+ in your Album Archive and your Google+ pages will also be deleted.
Downloading your Google+ content may take time, so get started before March 31, 2019.
No other Google products (such as Gmail, Google Photos, Google Drive, YouTube) will be shut down as part of the consumer Google+ shutdown, and the Google Account you use to sign in to these services will remain. Note that photos and videos already backed up in Google Photos will not be deleted.
For more information, see the full Google+ shutdown FAQ.
From all of us on the Google+ team, thank you for making Google+ such a special place.

You have received this mandatory email service announcement to update you about important changes to your Google+ Page, product or account.

Anybody else get this message on e-mail?  I'm not doing it!  I may be a nonblogger soon, but I'm not doing it. Junk having to do with the computer is just getting to be too much trouble for me. I've enjoyed reading my old blogs from time to time.  Lots of good memories that I won't be able to read anymore after April 1.  Or is this an elaborate and nasty April Fools day prank?  They sure chose a bad day for a change over.  So if there is anything on my blog that you want to see, look now or be disappointed.

Hugs,
Terri

It's been a while

New fabric

The blue is more aqua and the dots are a copper metallic color and feel. I love the pink and yellow print. So cheery.

Happy Hump Day...

What I've been working on

Mostly I've been procrastinating, but I did make all 121 of these blocks.  (Working early on the H2H quilt for Happy Chemo.) Hands to Help Comfort Quilt Challenge starts on Sunday (tomorrow).

I'm calling it a "Wonky Wedge". I tried to use a limited pallet of blue, purple and green.
Below is the first 4 blocks sewn together (upper left). Blocks always look better after being pressed and sewn together, don't you think so?

Sew I have been using my green scraps...  This quilt is easy and uses your scraps, even strips work.

Close ups are a few of my favorite prints.

Blocks are made from a 5" square of white (121 are a mix of two different prints of white on white and  some off white), then sew varying size and shape triangles onto each.  Somehow I made some bloopers that went the wrong way. I figured it is just another part of "wonky".

We are supposed to get a snow storm starting this evening, but the weather people can't decide if  it will be 1" or 8".  We will see. We do have enough already. I'm tired of shoveling, and I only helped a couple of times.

Have a wonderful weekend.
Hugs

Squirrel quilt progress and one yellow butterfly

I love the Rainbow Scrap Challenge, but I haven't participated with much reliability.  For the month of February I've made one yellow butterfly... today.

I haven't much in the way of yellow scraps.

I've been making these wonky 5" squares in blues, greens and purples - mostly from scraps. I thought I'd set them as stars, but there aren't the right way points,, I made them like these. I do like them all pointing in the same direction.

I still have a bunch to add to the design wall. I'm thinking this will be a H2H quilt.

I'm still waiting for an address to send out the baby quilts.... no charge, but I can't just wish them there.

Hugs to my Sis in Florida.  Thanks for the Hope you provide with the Facebook updates... Today we had a plumber here to snake our sewer that backed up.  Messy business.  At least I can do laundry now.

Hugs to my quilty friends, too.  Thanks for stopping by to read my little blog.
